Archaeology Way to Langwith-Whaley Thorns – June 2024

A nice walk, if not exciting, starting just south of Crewell and four miles down the Archaeology Way to Langwith-Whaley Thorns railway station.

It’s (surprise!) a former colliery railway line made redundant by Margaret Thatcher. It’s one of those places with many paths leading to many different locations…

There were lots of sunshine and beautiful skies that day:

The most wonderful walk I’ve ever done? No.

Nice to be out walking in the sunshine and lots of wild flowers and blue skies? Yes!

West Bridgford Farmers’ Market – Saturday 14th June 2025

We’re back at Wirksworth Market on Saturday 7th June 2025. It’s on the Memorial Gardens in Wirksworth, Derbyshire DE4 4DS .

9am to 2pm.

We’ll have greeting cards, prints, coasters and canvases, all original photography from Aidan inspired by walks in the Peak District, Nottinghamshire and the Yorkshire Coast.

We’ll also have some beautiful greeting cards from our friend Jane Cornwell, who is a Scottish artist:

Unfortunately the weather is horrible today with seemingly endless heavy rain, so we won’t be there today. Sorry!

It’s organised by Nottingham University SB Student Union but open to the public with free parking.
