A long-winded title I know…
This is a sort of companion piece to Archaeology Way to Langwith-Whaley Thorns – June 2024, albeit it almost a year later. Then I walked but now I’m cycling(mainly) and walking when it gets rough underfoot.
It’s a lot of pictures of blue sky, fluffy white clouds and flowers. I absolutely loved it and I can’t wait to be out again.

The lavender flower is Purple Tansy. It’s originally a North American plant but it has its uses in agriculture. And is beautiful to see.

Then there’s lots of pedalling, which isn’t entirely unpleasant esepcially with the views…

But also walking when it gets rough underfoot’ Lots more clouds and blue sky, I’m afraid:

I couldn’t resist a picture of buttercups…

Or fields of rapeseed:

I spotted a hare and a red kite when cycling but they soon cleared off when they saw me back, which is a shame, if understandable. Too quickly for pictures!
A bit more pedalling with blue skies and not so white clouds…

Bolsover that way…

And a field of poppies on the way back to the car:

I really enjoyed the walk and cycle: sun and clouds and flowers and warmth.
